Additional Information

Rebecca Stephens is a postdoctoral fellow in the group of Dr Efsun Arda at the Laboratory of Receptor Biology and Gene Expression, NCI. She received her PhD in Biochemistry and Genetics in 2022 from La Trobe University, Melbourne Australia. Following graduation, Rebecca joined the Nuclear Mechanotransduction and Cell Fate Dynamics group at the NIDDK, where she utilized multi-omic approaches (proteomic, epigenomic) to dissect the relationship between nuclear mechanics, chromatin organization and cell fate bifurcations. In 2025, Rebecca transitioned to the Arda group, focusing on cell type-specific promoter-enhancer interactions in gene expression regulation during pancreatic development and cancer.
