The NCI Center for Cancer Research (CCR) has long been recognized as having a premier clinical training program. Many of our former clinical trainees are now serving as department chairs across the country.
Medical Research Scholars
The NIH Medical Research Scholars Program is intended for future clinician-scientists seeking careers in biomedical research. Students engage in basic, clinical, or translational research investigations, a curriculum rich in didactics and professional development, and a robust mentor-ship and advising program. This 12-month program is designed for students who are U.S. citizens and permanent residents and are currently enrolled in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year at an accredited medical program. For more information about the program and how to apply, please visit the NIH Clinical Center website.
