Dr. Hanyang Liu is a visiting postdoctoral fellow in the Porat-Shliom lab at NIH/NCI. He completed his Bachelor & Master studies and trained as a physician in the Department of General Surgery at Nanjing Medical University (China). He obtained his PhD degree at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin (Germany). Hanyang’s research focuses on microenvironmental regulations in metabolic and (pre-)malignant liver diseases. He employs multiomics and imaging techniques, together with animal and ex-vivo models (e.g., organ-on-a-chip), to study cellular interactions and metabolic zonation in the liver during disease progression.
