RESEARCH SUMMARY
Dr. Speck is a Colombian biologist who completed his master's and doctoral studies in Basic and Applied Immunology at the University of São Paulo in Brazil. He has experience in the areas of Immunology and Immunometabolism of T cells and osteoclasts. In February 2024, he joined the Park lab as a post-doctoral fellow. Currently, he is working on the mechanisms that regulate the effector activities of CD4 and CD8 T cells in the small intestine. After completing his training at the NCI, Dr. Speck aims to establish his own research line as an investigator in the field of cellular immunology.
