RESEARCH SUMMARY
Dr. Wheeler provides bioinformatics support for the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Eastern Virginia Medical School and Old Dominion University. His postdoctoral research at NIH focused on techniques for the electrophoretic characterization of DNA and the modeling of DNA/Gel interactions. His current research interests include the determinants of 3D chromatin structure and the effect of chromatin architecture on heterochromatin stability and gene regulation.
