RESEARCH SUMMARY
Dr. Chinquee is responsible for managing the clinical and scientific operations for the Laboratory of Pathology (LP), which serves as the primary accredited anatomic pathology service for the NIH Clinical Center and all categorical Institutes of the NIH. The LP provides services to the NIH community in the disciplines of surgical pathology, hematopathology, autopsy, cytopathology, flow cytometry and molecular diagnostics. These services include diagnostic and research support for the many clinical research protocols carried out at the NIH. Dr. Chinquee oversees all elements of regulatory and accreditation compliance for LP, and is also the section head for the histopathology laboratory, biorepository and tissue procurement and processing facility.

Biography
Joseph Chinquee, DHSc, MBA, MT(ASCP)DLM
Dr. Chinquee began his career in laboratory medicine with the United States Air Force (USAF). He completed his clinical laboratory training at the USAF School of Healthcare Sciences as a Medical Laboratory Technician. He served as a Clinical Lab Technician and Medical Technologist at several military, academic and community hospitals, and was deployed in combat support during Operation Desert Storm and for Operation Enduring Freedom in the Afghanistan Campaign. He is credentialed as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathology, MT(ASCP), and holds an advanced certification as a Diplomate of Laboratory Management, DLM (ASCP). Dr. Chinquee earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the Johns Hopkins University, and completed his Doctor of Health Science degree at Nova Southeastern University.
