Emma Stevenson joined the Molecular Imaging branch as an NIH post-baccalaureate fellow after earning her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering (BME), with minors in Biology, Chemistry, and International Studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2024. Her primary interests are the segmentation of prostate and liver cancer through the use of AI algorithms on radiology reports. In addition, she is researching how to incorporate AI into time-of-flight projections. Emma is pursing a MD/PhD degree, with a focus in Biomedical Engineering to create solutions that incorporate science and technology together to provide better diagnostics and care. In her free time, she is usually at a coffee shop reading a book or walking around downtown DC.
