NCI recognizes the importance of identifying, training, and mentoring talented researchers from populations underrepresented in science and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Several programs have been established to encourage students (undergraduate/postbaccalaureate/graduate) who are committed to careers in biomedical research.
